Changes in the Backyard

Kevin has been working hard in this hot weather to improve the backyard. He put keystone walls around the trees and just finished this path through the yard to the gate. What an improvement!

A Trip to Minnesota

Kevin, myself, my Mom Carol and Kevin's Mom Colette all cruised up to Minnesota last week to visit Kevin's sister Paula and family. We had a great time! On Thursday we visited Stillwater MN and took a lunch cruise on a river boat. After the cruise we enjoyed browsing the shops in Stillwater and picked up a few unique items. Friday we went up to Bloomington and visited the Mall of America. We enjoyed a great dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp. On the way home we celebrated Sarah Rutherford's selection to the Senior B Competitive dance squad. Great job Sarah! Thanks to the Rutherfords for allowing us to hang out for a few days. We loved it!!

Combine Derby

More fun with the kids yesterday. I went back to Malvern and joined Ali, Zac and Mom for an evening of crash up derby Mills County Style. For those who have never been to a combine derby it is truly a sight to behold. I was rooting for John Stouder to win. He did great with a fifth place finish. His John Deere made it for three years before calling it quits. Here is a picture of the Stouder section of the event.
